Wine making has been practised for as long as history has been recorded. When it actually started is not certain, but we know that grape vines and winemaking were introduced to the Mediterranean areas at least 5000 years ago. It has now extended to most parts of the world where the climate is suitable for viniculture.
The arrival of packaged and concentrated juices and pulps, combined with modern shipping methods, has made winemaking available to almost everyone. Today's winemaker need only follow kit directions or travel to local winemaking facilities to obtain everything needed to make excellent "award winning" wines.
Bacchus Urban Winery is here to help you get information about making wine at home, or making wine using commercial winemaking facilities (UVins).
